Resumen_ingles
Tinea capitis is the clinical manifestation of hair parasitation by dermatophytos. The inflammatory way or Querion is a response to fungus hypersensitivity. We report the case of a 13 months infant with fever, general discomfort and inflammatory lesion, over-lifted, purulent and painful in vertex scalp, 10 3 10 cm in size, with subsequent later cervical adenopathies, evolved favorably with griseofulvin, curing area of scarring alopecia.
Due to the low rate of suspicion in infants and to the possible confusion with other scaly dermatitis, it is important to remember to perform an early diagnosis to avoid complications and transmission of the disease. - Palabras_clave_ingles Tinea capitis Kerion dermatophyte mycoses of the scalp
